Internet Challenge

Internet Challenge

Internet Safety.

Sounds boring, right? I mean, what is anyone going to do with a picture of you? Your name? Your Social Insurance Number?
Well, tons, actually.

Here's a story of a teenager who owes over $600,000 because of identity theft!
realestate.aol.com/blog/2011/10/14/teenager-owes-600-000-in-mortgage-loans-after-id-theft/

How long would it take you to save up that much in allowance?

Here's my challenge to you.

1.    Go to my.raisingthegrade.ca/liy/non-obvious-online-safety/

Don't rush through it! There is information you will need to finish the challenge.

2.    Use the information that you found in the course to protect yourself!
This means your facebook name, pictures, where you live....

If you need help, ask!

A good place to start is logging onto your facebook account and clicking on "Privacy Settings"

3.     When you think that you have mastered the art of online safety, tell me.

If I can search for you online and can't find you, you win a prize!
